Re-Registering as a Referee (16+)

Modified on Wed, 30 Jun 2021 at 09:24 PM

To re-register as a Referee, you must have registered as a referee in either of the previous two seasons, or completed The FA Referees Course in the previous season.

If you were a referee but have not re-registered in the previous two seasons, you will need to contact your parent County FA so they can advise you how to re-register. Find your County FA contact HERE.

Step 1

Login to The FA's Whole Game System, using your email address and password.

Step 2

Select 'Referee Administration' tab

Step 3

Click on the "Referee administration tab" then "Registration" on the left handside

Step 4

Confirm whether you will be refereeing youth football, open-age football, or both in the upcoming season.

Please note: to officiate in youth football, you must have an in-date and accepted DBS

Step 5

Confirm your personal details and select 'Proceed to payment'

Step 6

You will be directed to Barclaycard SmartPay to complete the payment.

Step 7

You will be directed back to The FA Referee Registration, to complete your equality, diversity and inclusion form.

Click 'Complete Registration' to finish your referee registration.

Step 8

You will then see a success message and receive two emails. One being your receipt for the payment and the other a welcome back email for that season.
